Tutor Bio

Dedicated and accomplished vocal instructor, holding a Master's in Classical Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor's in Classical Voice with a Drama and Communication emphasis from DePauw University. Bringing extensive teaching experience, I have served as a Private Vocal Instructor at Singing with Lauren, Forté Music School, and RiverFront Studios. Additionally, I've contributed as a Regional Coordinator at the MusicLink Foundation.

My journey in vocal instruction started as a Para Voice Instructor at the College of Musical Arts, Bowling Green State University, where I later took on the role of Private Vocal Instruction Graduate Assistant. During this period, I also served as an Assistant Director for the production of "Orpheus in the Underworld" at the College of Musical Arts.

Beyond teaching, my involvement in choral leadership is evident through my role as a Choral Scholar & Alto Section Leader at Findlay First Presbyterian Church. My passion for the arts extends to arts administration, as seen in my internship at the Indianapolis Opera in 2019.

Academic achievements include the completion of my Master's, where I was honored with the Dorothy Mackenzie Price International Studies Award, and a Vocal Scholarship recipient from Opera NUOVA. Notable grants include the ProMusica Grant and the MidAmerican Center for Contemporary Music Grant.

I've been recognized with scholarships such as the Joseph & Zola Buford Scholarship in Music and the Adele Dunbar Subservient Scholarship. Additionally, I received the 21st Century Musician Initiative Award at DePauw University.

In terms of affiliations, I have actively contributed as the Graduate Student Representative on the College of Musical Arts Graduate Faculty Committee at Bowling Green State University. I am a proud member of the Alpha Psi Omega National Theater Honor Society at DePauw University and have been part of the Council for the DePauw University Contemporary Ensemble.

My multifaceted experience, combined with a genuine passion for nurturing vocal talents, makes me an enthusiastic and effective instructor committed to instilling a love for music in my students.
